CROSSPOSTINGS (was: Re: maize in Europe and India: a twisted tale

[Follow-ups are directed to: sci.archaeology,sci.anthropology, and
sci.bio.misc.]

[Newsgroups bionet.general,sci.agriculture,sci.bio.botany, and
sci.archaeology.mesoamerican have been edited out of the follow-ups line.
This means that readers of these newsgroups will, it is to be hoped, not
see this discussion thread continuing in their groups.]

Not.

: YOU STARTED THIS "maize in Europe and India:

: 1. sci.archaeology

Correct. But you completely missed the fact that I DIRECTED THE FOLLOW-UPS
TO A SMALLER NUMBER OF NGS!

I posted my original message to more groups _because the message was
relevant_ to all those groups. Yet, I'm concerned about excessive
cross-posting, and THEREFORE, I reduced the follow-ups.

I don't know why you missed all that. (I noted _specifically_ at the
beginning of that post about the reduced follow-ups.) It may be because of
the limitations of your newsreader software, or it may be because you're
unfamiliar with how headers in Usenet postings work? I'm satisfied that
this WAS NOT _intentional_ widening of cross-posts on your part, as I
originally supposed...

: about you apologize for this one?

Well, I think it's important to reduce cross-postings. Those readers of
other newsgroups who want to follow this discussion can simply read it in
the newsgroups listed in the reduced follow-up line. These ngs are:
sci.archaeology,sci.anthropology, and sci.bio.misc.
