You're putting words into my mouth here. I think the biggest problems are
inertia, overspecialization, and group-think. I don't think "cover-ups"
are intentional, and yet they happen all the same.

Well, if it can be proven that corn was in Europe pre-Columbus, and, I
think, there's a very good chance of this, then we have been seeing a
really _big_ "cover-up". This time the roots are in the Eurocentric
ideology that encouraged false myth construction, perhaps _intentionally_.
